Meet Rachel

Hey y’all, I’m Rachel!

As a queer and recovered clinician, I know how important it is to continue my own learning so I can keep showing up for you as a competent provider. This includes what I learn from you as well! You are your own expert in your experiences and I’m all about meeting you where you are in the process.

Therapeutic Training & Style

My main areas of training include Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I follow a Health at Every Size (HAES), anti-diet, anti-oppressive, and LGBTQ+ affirming lens. What all of this means is I combine my clinical training with my personality to help create a safe and healing space. I provide a balance of compassionate challenging, listening, and humor to help you transfer that balance into your life outside of the therapy room.

A smidge more about myself…

I received my undergraduate degree at Syracuse University (go Orange!) and my dual masters degree in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. I’m a Midwest gal that smiles way too much to pass as a New Yorker, but love living in New York City. I spent the majority of my clinical training working as a recovery coach and primary therapist at Monte Nido & Affiliates. I work with an incredible eating disorder nonprofit, The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness and absolutely love co-facilitating several of their free and therapist led pro-recovery support groups. I love to cook new recipes, sing and dance my pants off to any tunes, and hosting game nights with friends.

Ready when you are.
